Old Fashioned

  • 2 oz American whiskey
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 1 tsp water
  • Orange twist, for garnish
  • Maraschino cherry, optional

Using the back of a spoon, crush and mostly dissolve the sugar cube in a rocks glass.

Add bitters and ice, then the whiskey and stir. Finally, add garnish.
