Chocolate-Espresso Smoothie

This is an attempt to re-create the chocolate smoothie we had at Café Gratitude in San Francisco.

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup cold extraction coffee or espresso
  • 3 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Blend all ingredients until there are no more visible flecks of dates.

This should make two large glasses. If this is too thick, try adding a little more almond milk.
